    Library structure

   The library of the Bryansk State Agricultural Academy was formed on the basis of the library of the Kokino Agricultural College in 1980.

   Today about 30 librarians work at the library, most of them have higher education.

   The library stock is about 410000 copies of educational, methodical, scientific literature, fiction, periodicals. The stock of the educational literature represents collection of native and foreign publications on all disciplines studied at the Academy, the methodical instructions of the Academy. The stock of the educational and methodical literature compounds 119000 copies, (30% of all).

   The stock of the scientific literature is introduced by the works of scientists of the Academy, monographs, collections of materials of scientific and scientifically-practical conferences, theses of teaching staff of the Academy and other higher educational institutions. There are much reference books, i.e. encyclopedias, specialized encyclopedias.

  The stock is completed with periodicals. The Library has subscribed to three hundred journals and thirty newspapers. Among them there specialized, central and local popular and political, popular scientific periodicals.

  The stock has official publications; collections of the legislation of the Russian Federation, bulletins of normative statements of Federal executive bodies, the Highest Certifying Commission of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, also the state bibliographic indexes of the diversified and branch centres of information, recommendation and bibliographic indexes.

   The stock of basic and additional literature is added by electronic textbooks.
