International Scientific Cooperation
The Bryansk State Agricultural Academy takes an active part in cooperation with educational institutions and research community of "near abroad" (the former Soviet republics) and foreign countries.
Agreements about scientific and technical and cultural cooperation are concluded between the Bryansk State Agricultural Academy, the State Agroecological Academy (Ukraine, Zhytomir) and the Belarus State Agricultural Academy. Scientists, post-graduate students and students of these Academies take part in mutual Olympiads, scientific and practical conferences.
In December, 2007 a group of scientists of the Academy took part in the seminar «Development of Innovative Educational Activities and Competitiveness-Oriented Actions of Higher Educational Institutions» held at the Academy of improvement of professional skills and retraining of educators in Moscow, and also in a number of colleges and universities of England.
Professor Artjuhov A.I. under the Institute of Ecology and Evolution Problems together with scientists of Japan, England and Germany carries out the study of ornithological biodiversity in the south of Chukotka.
Professor Lihachev B.S. is a member of the International Association for Seeds Testing, the International Union for Forage Crops Seed Farming.
Two years running a student from Germany passes the training at the Department of Foreign Languages and assists in spoken language training of students of the Bryansk State Agricultural Academy. Annually 6-8 students and 2-3 post-graduate students pass practice and training on farms and processing enterprises in Germany, Great Britain, the USA and France.
At the Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology Faculty scientists and veterinaries Lary Borcherd and Richard Kellems from the USA have given a series of lectures for teachers and students of veterinary and zootechnical specialties.
The Academy has got into contact with University of Maine and signed the agreement of scientific and technical cooperation.
Scientists of the Economics Faculty have established relations with scientists of the USA to exchange the experience of Management and Commerce teaching. Professor John Cancelarich has given lectures and held master-classes on Management and Commerce.
