Scientific Activity

   Scientific researches at the Bryansk State Agricultural Academy are carried out on current problems of the agroindustrial complex of the Bryansk and other regions of the Central Federal District.

   Most of researches are directed at development of methods of farming in conditions of radioactive contamination. Much attention is given to development of technologies of agriculture biologization, to ecologically safe plant and animal production. There are biotechnological researches in the field of crop-growing and livestock-breeding aimed at raise of immunity of crops and animals.

   Researches in the field of Agroengineering science are aimed at development of methods of reliability and durability improvement of agricultural machines, reduction of power inputs in their exploitation, development of models of new machines. There are researches on rehabilitations of water installations in a countryside by engineering means in a radioactive contamination zone, on labour protection and life safety of rural population.

   In the field of economy research are aimed at study of mechanism of formation of farm market grouping, intensification of integration processes in the system of agroindustrial production; development of the concept of economic development, organizational models and control systems of the agroindustrial complex in conditions of market economy.

   There are comprehensive researches aimed at development of information technologies, distant education and creation of electronic teaching manuals.

   The Academy provides a post-graduate course. 

   The scientists and teaching staff of the Academy publish the results of their researches and surveys in monographs, textbook and teaching manuals.

   Research and development is financed from internal and external sources. In 2007 it amounted 13 million 735 thousand roubles.

Directions of scientific work

   The Bryansk State Agricultural Academy is an educational, research and production complex comprising Agro-ecological Institute, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology, the Engineering Technological Faculty, the Faculty of Energetics and Land Reclamation, the Economics Faculty, the Bryansk Institute of Agribusiness Personnel Training, the Bryansk Mechanics and Technology College, the Experimental Farm "Kokino", the Kokino base of the All-Russian Horticulture Selection Institute, agricultural colleges in Trubchevsk, , Roslavl, Novozybkov.

   The Academy has 35 departments where 344 teachers work. There are 49 professors and 169 associate professors. Among scientists of the Academy there are 3 Honored Scientists of the Russian Federation, 7 Honored Workers of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, 18 full Members and Corresponding Members of State and Socio-Professional Academies. and 169 associate professors.
